Is the application for CareASSIST mandatory?
Applications are mandatory for patients to receive support or services from CareASSIST. Applications must be sent by a healthcare provider. If you have any questions, you may call 1‑833‑WE+CARE (1‑833‑930‑2273) and a Patient Access Specialist can provide assistance.

How do patients apply for financial assistance through the CareASSIST Patient Assistance Program?
You or your patient can download and print an application from our website, or you may begin the application process by calling CareASSIST, toll free, at 1‑833‑WE+CARE (1‑833‑930‑2273). Once completed, you can submit applications by mail or fax (1‑855‑411‑9689).
Does a patient need to live in the United States to participate in the CareASSIST Patient Assistance Program?
Yes. In order to be eligible, a patient must be a resident of the US or its territories or possessions and be under the care of a licensed healthcare provider authorized to prescribe, dispense, and administer medication in the US.
How is the medication distributed by CareASSIST?
Medications are shipped directly to the healthcare provider's office.
How will I know if a patient qualifies for the CareASSIST Patient Assistance Program?
Every patient receives a letter informing them of the status of their application. A copy of that letter is also sent to the healthcare provider.
How long are patients eligible for the CareASSIST Patient Assistance Program?
Approved patients may remain enrolled for up to 12 months. If longer assistance is required, they may reapply on a yearly basis. Patients with Medicare Part B with no supplemental insurance coverage who qualify for the CareASSIST Patient Assistance Program will need to reapply at the beginning of each calendar year.
How long does it take to process an application?
Complete applications are usually processed within 2 business days.
Is there any fee to apply?
CareASSIST does not charge fees to apply.
